FAQ

Short answers about how the platform works. Policies that need legal review are linked from the Trust Center.

What is KingOfWebs?

KingOfWebs is a competitive advertising platform. Each category has one King who holds the primary advertising placement.

What is a King?

The King is the brand that currently holds #1 advertising placement for a category after a successful verified payment at the displayed takeover price.

What is a Challenger?

When a King is overtaken, the previous brand may remain visible as a Challenger according to platform ranking rules.

What happens when I am overtaken?

You lose the King position. Your brand can remain visible as a Challenger according to platform rules. You can take the throne again by paying the new takeover price.

What am I purchasing?

You are purchasing advertising visibility on KingOfWebs — not an investment, equity, or profit share.

How is the takeover price calculated?

Every unclaimed throne starts at $1. After a claim, the next takeover price increases by $1 by default (or the published increment on that throne). Competition determines throne value.

Do I keep my advertising visibility?

While you are King you hold the primary placement. After being overtaken, Challenger visibility may continue according to platform rules.

Can I change my website?

Yes, through your dashboard brand/ad settings. Sensitive changes may require a brief policy review before the public link is shown.

What is a Founding King?

The first brand to successfully rule each category earns a permanent Founding King achievement. That badge is historical recognition; the throne itself can still change hands later.

How are payments handled?

When live payments are enabled, charges are processed by our payment partner. KingOfWebs does not store raw card numbers. Confirmation is verified server-side.

Can advertisements be rejected?

Yes. Ads must follow Advertising Rules. Your King position may be secured after payment while a link undergoes brief policy review when required.

How do refunds work?

See the Refund Policy. Do not treat marketing copy as a legal guarantee; final terms are in published policies after legal review.

Is a King the same as a Verified Brand?

No. King is an advertising position. Verified Brand is a separate trust signal and is not required to become King.
